In September 1943, they were married in Phoenix, AZ, while Charles served as an Aviation Cadet in the U.S. During her high school years, she met and fell in love with Charles while working as a soda fountain helpmate in his father's drug store, located at 29th street and South Shields Blvd., Oklahoma City. Julia attended local public schools, graduating in 1943 from Capitol Hill High School. They were life-long members of Capital Hill Methodist Church. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Charles E. (Berry) Campbell, was born February 8, 1925, in South Oklahoma City. 8, 1934 to Ralph and Julia Jones, he attended.
